When I was in elementary school, I had a really high fever a couple of times (just above +40°C). I remember my mother (a nurse) opening all the windows in our apartment to get in the cold breeze to lower my body temperature. It worked!
This year we paid to install windows to our lake holiday cabin especially to have refreshing cross breeze. Lovely. Worth every nickel! Better put up a little sign to warn that this nutty belief will not be accommodated.

ReplyDeleteYes! My in-laws literally roast in their cars in the summer because they refuse to roll down the windows for fear of this. Nutty is right
