Do they actually serve Spanish tortillas whole anywhere in Spain (like as a meal)? I've only seen it cut in squares in tapas, or served as quarters for breakfast.
Ah dang, truth be told it's been a while since I've been to Spain - I swear I got it as a whole dish but you might be right!
It's a whole dish. And, to avoid confusion, whenever I had to translate the menu to a German speaking person, I simply said Kartoffelauflauf.
