Last time I was in Kaohsiung, the trucks were playing The Maiden's Prayer, Op. 4 by Bądarzewska-Baranowska.According to my dad, apparently South Korea used to have musical garbage trucks back in the 60s.
Huh! Maybe Taiwan got the idea from them
Yes! In the area of Taipei I was in, it was either Fur Elise or The Maiden's Prayer... learned it on piano unironically
