  1. I've been visiting Singapore for two weeks now (having lived here before), and I immediately got accustomed to automatic flushing and faucets. However, it will probably take me again at least two months to learn to flush or turn on the faucet when back in Europe.

    1. I'm as surprised as everyone else. I was totally convinced they'd stay. I think it was a dumb idea, and they're going to pay for it now.

      What are your thoughts?

    2. I honestly don't know enough about global politics to act like I have an informed opinion, but the fact that certain political personages considered it a good idea makes me think it was probably a bad one.

  3. Ah, yes. The amazing Japanese toilets. They'll do anything for you short of a face-lift. My favorite feature was the heated toilet seat. Japanese restrooms (at least in private homes) get COLD during the winter, and a warm toilet seat is quite a luxury under such circumstances.

    1. I LOVED that feature! It's like sitting on it after a fat, warm person just got up...

  4. My teacher who went to Japan said there were lots of toilets that were on the ground and you had to wear specific shoes for the toilet.
