Slightly exaggerated. Slighty. I only drove through the netherlands (in a bus ^^) but the sight of a bicycle highway and hundreds of bicycles parked on front of a train station let me feel like heaven ^^
I have not been to Amsterdam, but Groningen was a hell for a pedestrian. I don't understand why the bike anarchy has to be taken to an extreme. I agree that there should be less cars in big cities, but they would be much nicer places if all types of street users peacefully co-existed.
Normality is relative to experience.

Totally true! I was just in Amsterdam yesterday! The air there is so fresh without all the cars!
